The November 24 & 25, 2018 Chicago Pop Culture Con welcomes CJ Ramone!
CJ Ramone was the bassist for the Ramones up until the retirement of the band. He took over for Dee Dee and helped the Ramones survive and thrive for over seven years. CJ sang back up, wrote songs and sang lead on a few songs.
CJ who was the Ramones youngest member, gave a breath of fresh air to band. He played on a total of Eight Ramones albums. Prior to joining the Ramones, CJ was in the United States Marines and also played and recorded in a band called Guitar Pete’s Axe Attack.
Since the retirement of the Ramones, CJ has played in a few bands, but most recently has been touring and recording as a solo, CJ Ramone. Releasing 3 studio albums: Reconquista, Last Chance to Dance and American Beauty.
His style of playing and singing has kept the spirit of the Ramones alive.
C.J.’s equipment consists of Mosrite Basses, Fender Basses, Live Line Straps and Cables, SIT Strings, Pickworld Picks and Fender Bass Amps.
